Hanshi Rameshwar Nirvan is the Director and Founder of the Oriental Martial Arts and Sports Academy, established in 1979. A legendary figure in Indian martial arts, he holds prestigious ranks including:
Hanshi Nirvan began his martial arts journey in 1975.
In1976 , he became the Heavyweight Boxing Champion, and in 1978, he won the Silver Medal in the National Judo Championship at Delhi.
On 1st January 1979, he opened the first Karate Training Centre at Ashok Marg, C. Scheme Jaipur, and trained students across several prestigious institutions, including Maharani College, Kanoriya College, Rajasthan University Campus, Saint Paul’s School, Saint Soldier School, Anokhi Tilak Marg, and the Rajasthan Police etc.
In 1979, he was appointed Chief Karate Instructor for Rajasthan.
He continued to excel in competitive Karate arts and became the Silver Medalist in the North India Full Contact Karate Championship (Delhi, 1983).
1987 – Opened first GYM & HEALTH CLUB “ ORIENTAL” in Jaipur having all weather indoor assonated swimming pool , wooden floor on synthetic Badminton court, Karate & Kobodo, Squash and now pickle ball wooden court, Aerobic, Zamba, Yoga, Cardiovascular training, strength training and Traditional SAUNA BATH.

Leadership Roles & Contributions
2000– Appointed Chief Technical Director of the Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate-do International Association for the Middle East and South Asia.
2006, 2013 & 2024 – Elected President of the All India Karate-do Federation (supreme governing body for Karate in Indian sports.)
2007 – Instrumental in introducing Karate as an official sport in the National Games held in Guwahati, Assam.
In 2023, in recognition of his unwavering dedication, outstanding service, and significant contributions to the growth and development of Karate as a sport in India, he was conferred the prestigious HANSHI TITLE along with the 9th Degree Black Belt in Karate. This distinction represents one of the highest ranks and honors attainable in the Karate discipline. The conferment was awarded by the All India Karate-do Federation, the supreme governing body for Karate within Indian sports, acknowledging his lifelong commitment, exemplary leadership, and influential role in shaping the martial arts community across the Nation.
Hanshi Rameshwar Nirvan is a distinguished martial artist whose lifelong dedication has significantly contributed to the growth and recognition of traditional Okinawan and Japanese martial arts as well sports Karate in India.
